Mobile home park expansion approved in Lower Macungie (blogs)
Lower Macungie Township Supervisors approved the expansion of a mobile home
park on Thursday and partially waived the recreation fees since the owner is
installing a trail and other amenities. Big Bear Management plans to expand
Red Maple Acres off Grange Road by 29 units on 6.45 acres. Residents would
lease the sites from the company. The park is already home to 202 units. The
township was originally poised to bill developers $78,052 but negotiated the
fee down to $20,000. Developers plan to install a six-foot wide walking trail
around the perimeter of the park, a 20 by 30-foot pavilion...
