When she first became ill, she was told by her family, ancestors, and guides that people would be sent to train her in shamanic traditions. Their prediction proved very accurate. The student was ready and the teachers began to line up in numbers. Her mentors included: a Santera, a Palero, a Druidic High Priest, a Rosicrucian Elder, several Native American Elders, and a Taiwanese Magus. Much like her Icelandic chief gothi' men (chief god men) ancestors who came before, she trained for many years to earn the right to help others.
Though she maintains that the shamanic path is neither glamorous nor an easy one to traverse, she selflessly gave herself over to it for the well being of others. As trying as her journey has been at times, she finds comfort in the knowledge that she is never alone. Her helper spirits are always right beside her, assisting her in her life's work. It is a close bond she enjoys with her ancestors with whom she shares the "wisdom ways." As an ordained Shaman Elder, she has been given permission to teach and to heal others. With an emphasis on healing deep soul trauma, she facilitates the healing process for individuals and families, both in this life and in past lives as well.
Remarkably, she is able to travel anywhere and to any time, while maintaining her steady hold on her present reality. In this way, she is able to tackle an obstacle at its source and she can offer a complete picture of events, both past and present, that have affected a client's current situation. In doing so, she is able to fulfill her life's purpose which is to enlighten others about their unique universal heritage.
For over twenty-five years, she has offered her professional services as a healer, seer and shaman. During this time, she has read for thousands of people, and has successfully healed countless souls. Her extensive experience and solid training in the arts of shamanism, Native American Traditional Healing, Santeria, witchcraft, the occult, Kabbala, and aboriginal, indigenous and transpersonal psychology, have made her a talented, wise and well-versed practitioner and psychic counselor.
Salome is a Taurus with Leo rising, and a Virgo Moon. Within her chart, she has a "Grand Fire Trine," which means she was born to lead, teach and inspire others. THEA: In the "Heart of Dixie" where she was raised, Thea was encouraged by her family to accept the strange occurrences that happened to her as a young child. By the time she was four, she'd already had experiences with astral travel, precognitive dreams, the sensing of spirits and deja vu.
By the time she was a teenager, she'd discovered ways of spiritually helping herself and knew instinctively that it was her calling to use those tools to help others. While visiting an artist friend, she spotted a set of tattered, old tarot cards that the artist had pinned to a bulletin board. She asked what they were and the artist gave a brief explanation. She was so intrigued, she ran home and crafted a set of her own, using hand-drawn sketches she designed. After a time when she'd outgrown them, Thea finally bought her first deck of Morgan-Greer tarot cards and studied them to the point of distraction, until she extracted every bit of knowledge she could. For two decades she worked with them, never tiring or becoming bored with their use.
Though it took years to see their deeper meanings, she stuck to it, and found right from the start that she was a natural at giving accurate readings. According to Thea, "The cards do much more than tell the future. They reveal ancient cultural wisdoms collected from human history throughout the ages." These cards have not only been her calling, they are also a blessing for all of those she continues to help.
She began giving accurate tarot readings in her teens, and has now accumulated fifteen years of practical experience using this important tool. She's offered her services in diverse locations that include concert venues, festivals, singles clubs, spiritual groups and book clubs. Thea is a typical Virgo, organized and multi-talented.
